As the spokesperson of the Heavenly Dao, Hongjun claimed to know and do everything. His only worry was that Tongtian would discover just how much he had been hiding.

Nuwa created humanity, and heavenly merit descended upon her, making her a Saint. All living beings came to congratulate her.

After becoming a Saint, Nuwa became all-knowing and all-powerful, yet she was utterly astonished when

she glimpsed the Dao Ancestor, who had originally merged with the Heavenly Dao, in his true form with Tongtian.

They even had a child in the future!

Nuwa's gaze toward Tongtian became rather peculiar.

With such powerful backing,

no wonder he had received the most spiritual treasures at the Treasure-Splitting Cliff.

One day, Tongtian became a Saint.

The Dao Ancestor was delighted for him. Saints could withstand countless tribulations without being destroyed, remain untouched by cause and effect, share the same lifespan as Heaven, and endure for all eternity.

But unease gradually grew in his heart. Would Tongtian be angry that he had concealed his identity?

The Daoist companion he had worked so hard to win over was now on the verge of breaking up with him.

Those Years Raising Little Ones in the Primordial World

Synopsis:

While passing by Mount Kunlun, Hongjun happened upon Shangqing Tongtian, who had run away from home.

Looking at the unshaped ball of Shangqing energy before him, Hongjun felt a stir of desire and couldn't help getting close to it. It looked so delicious, and so nourishing.

Unfortunately, this ball of Shangqing energy had a complicated origin. Eating him would earn Hongjun the Heavenly Dao's enmity, so all he could do was regretfully let the idea go.

Later, Hongjun thought of all the dangers in the Primordial World and worried that the ball of Shangqing energy, venturing outside for the first time, might get into trouble. After much consideration, he decided that raising it himself would be the safest option.

Hongjun: The ball of Shangqing energy is still so weak. Someone might catch him and eat him, so of course I have to protect him.

After the Investiture of the Gods, Tongtian, the Saint of the Jie Sect, was taken back to the Zixiao Palace by the Dao Ancestor to reflect for three thousand years.

During those long three thousand years of reflection, he kept thinking about how, during the Investiture of the Gods, his two elder brothers had disregarded their bonds as siblings, insulted him, and even joined forces with outsiders to destroy the Jie Sect. The injustice still rankled: What a waste of the red flower, white lotus root, and green lotus leaf! If he could do it all over again, he would never want to be brothers with Laozi and Yuanshi again.

Perhaps the Great Dao had heard Tongtian's thoughts. When he woke from a dream, he had returned to the beginning of the Primordial World, before the Three Pure Ones had taken physical form.

Tongtian: Is this for real? This can actually happen?

Since the Great Dao had given him a chance to start over, he would do whatever he pleased this time.

Tongtian immediately decided to leave Mount Kunlun.

After being caught by Hongjun as soon as he came down the mountain, Tongtian gazed at the familiar person right in front of him, his thoughts in turmoil. In that moment, he remembered the three thousand years he had spent with his teacher in the Zixiao Palace, day and night: three long, tedious millennia that would bore even a Saint.

Hongjun studied the ball of Shangqing energy before him. Only belatedly did he notice that the gaze of this still-unshaped ball of Shangqing energy carried a hint of pity.

Hongjun: I don't know why, but something feels off. Maybe I should eat him.

After thinking hard for a long time, Tongtian finally realized that Hongjun meant
