The little Taotie Duoduo was born as a tiny baby in the belly of Xu Shuman, wife of Qian Zhiyi, a minor character in a period novel.
After Qian Duoduo was born, she was easy to please: she ate well, smiled often, and never made a fuss. Just looking at her made people like her.
The couple had only one precious daughter. She never fussed and had a lucky-looking face, so the young couple poured all their love into Qian Duoduo.
Although Duoduo's parents were ordinary dual-income workers at Oilfield No. 2, and couldn't serve lavish meals every day, Duoduo wasn't picky!
Even when they gave her cabbage stems, she could eat them as if they were rare delicacies.
Watching Qian Duoduo eat made Qian Zhiyi and his wife eat an extra bowl of rice themselves. Their family lived a simple, happy life.
But when Qian Duoduo was a little over one year old, she and Zhou Simiao, the son of the novel's protagonists, were eating strawberries in the courtyard. Though she still couldn't talk, she ate them one after another at incredible speed.
Before Zhou Simiao could finish the strawberries he held in each hand, Qian Duoduo had polished off the entire bowl.
Her appetite made Zhou Simiao, the most well-behaved child in the courtyard, burst into tears.
Qian Duoduo became famous throughout the residential compound after that. Before long, she earned the imposing nickname "the residential compound's queen of flowers."
Note:
1. A sweet childhood-friends story full of food and fun.
2. Setting: An oilfield in the second half of the 1980s, when workers' benefits and pay were rapidly improving.
3. The story begins when the main character is a toddler and focuses on everyday life and family matters. There are many characters, and the pace is somewhat slow to warm up.
Theme: Stay positive and make the most of every day.
The subsequent plot is very jumpy, and the sub-CP is not described too much. I really like this, but the plot is too jumpy.
Okay, all the CPs that should appear have appeared.
You boy are so lucky
My mother wiped the dust from college, ah
Ah (=_=)??
