Female lead's perspective:
When Fu Qingyun opened her eyes, she found herself under a red bridal veil. At first, she almost thought she'd been kidnapped again, but then she belatedly realized she'd transmigrated.
Other transmigrators learn math, science, and chemistry, and can go anywhere without fear. They build up the infrastructure, seize power, and become winners in life.
She studied all those subjects too, but she's a computer science graduate. In ancient times, that's completely useless.
With the mindset of making the best of her situation, Fu Qingyun decides to do her best to survive in this world.
Her bargain-bin husband seems polite and decent. He has no feelings for her, and she has none for him, so they agree to keep their distance and be a couple in name only. Life goes on as usual.
Her husband is great in every way, except that he's part of the imperial family. The current emperor and the entire imperial clan despise transmigrators.
Before Fu Qingyun can even reunite with her fellow transmigrators, shedding tears of joy at seeing a familiar face, she has to hide her identity to save her life. So she pretends to be an ancient person, quoting classical texts all day long.
But her bargain-bin husband is the Vice Minister of Justice, and he's frighteningly clever. He's secretly tested her before, sometimes using interrogation records from the Ministry of Justice to try to get her to talk.
Luckily, Fu Qingyun thinks she's pretty clever, because she's good at acting.
Though pretending to be an ancient person is a little hard, she still manages to live in peace for a year or so.
Then one day, after nearly being robbed while out, she gets a fright and pesters her martial-arts-skilled bargain-bin husband to teach her a few self-defense moves.
"My lord, just teach me a few moves." Fu Qingyun bats her big eyes, but inwardly rubs her hands together: Let me see how amazing Chinese kung fu is.
Her husband nods gently to show he agrees, and then... then he teaches her a set of military-style exercises.
Fu Qingyun: Don't act like I've never gone to college or done military training.
Male lead's perspective:
After somehow transmigrating here and living for two years, and then being forced to marry, He Heqiu has no choice but to take this wife, since he can't defy the emperor's decree.
From what he learned, his wife had a childhood sweetheart she was deeply attached to. He Heqiu thinks, So I've split up a pair of star-crossed lovers. I'm a terrible person.
At least she's a sensible woman. The two of them agree on three rules and become a couple in name only.
But as time goes on, He Heqiu notices that something about her seems different.
So she's a transmigrator too.
But why does my wife pretend to be an ancient person in front of me every day?
Scene [1]
He Heqiu: "I seem to remember there's a saying in arithmetic, but I don't know if you've heard it, 'If the odd changes, the even stays the same.'"
Fu Qingyun: "I never imagined you had such insight into arithmetic, my lord. The Book of Changes says, 'Yang hexagrams are odd, yin hexagrams are even.' Yin and yang do not blend, so when the odd changes, the even stays the same. How wonderfully profound!"
Scene [2]
He Heqiu: "The northern country is a vast expanse, frozen for a thousand miles."
Fu Qingyun: "Are you thinking of winter, my lord? Your ancestral home is in Yingzhou, in the far north. Last winter, the northern wind was cold, and heavy snow fell. We saw the snow falling thickly ourselves."

An imaginary dynasty. Official ranks modeled after the Tang, with everyday life a chaotic mix of the Tang, Song, and Ming.
Both original bodies died before the male and female leads transmigrated into them. They will return to the modern era in the end.
Probably a lighthearted slice-of-life story.
Theme: Live well
