A story about two people who begin on different sides in a world beset by external enemies and internal turmoil, but ultimately arrive at the same destination by different paths.
Fang Yunping is a male alpha with excellent grades. He joins the Federation military ahead of schedule, just as expected, and begins going on missions with the senior he looks up to.
During one mission to capture a spy who had fled with classified information, he exhausts every effort to corner his target in a chaotic starship.
The two face off, with nowhere left to retreat.
At the moment he fires his energy gun, the target takes a desperate leap into the surging currents of space amid a deafening explosion. The sudden drop in pressure tears away her high-end synthetic mask, and the blazing sparks illuminate her bloodstained face.
She is the girl he had finally persuaded to go on a date with him that very morning, the girl he has a crush on.
His eyes nearly burst with rage. He is about to jump after her, but his senior stops him. As he struggles wildly, someone injects him with a sedative.
When he wakes, he searches every place she has ever been. He wants to question her. He wants her to question him.
Anything would be fine. He wants to see her. He wants her to be alive!
But he can't find her.
Fang Yunping drifts through six months in a daze before he sees her again.
But she has lost her memory and forgotten him. She is even less interested in romance than before, seeing him only as a potential recruit for the revolution.

Zhong Shengtong is a female beta. For the first twenty years of her life, her family sent her to an omega aristocratic school, where she led what seemed like a peaceful, happy life, just as everyone expected.
For the next twenty years, she is determined to fight for her ideals. She is determined to ensure that everyone, betas, omegas, and alphas alike, has the opportunity to pursue their ideals on equal terms.
At a diplomatic conference, she speaks as a youth representative:
"The natural differences in strength between alphas, betas, and omegas have created class divisions in society. Management positions across every industry are monopolized by alphas. Even in the industries they call vulgar and foolish, they still stand above everyone as leaders. Betas, meanwhile, make up the bulk of the labor force, while omegas are taught from childhood to be delicate, beautiful breeding machines."
"Yes, perhaps some people don't want to admit it, but this is clearly a social deformity."
"My comrades and I want to break this deformity."
"This is not the simple gender conflict you call it. We would call it class struggle."
"I know that before we have enough power and a voice of our own, most of you won't be willing to waste your time listening to us."
"So we want omegas to be free from the constraints of pheromones and heat. We want the mental power and physical strength of omegas and betas to reach the level of alphas. We want the omegas and betas taking part in this struggle to have access to exoskeleton mechs just as advanced as those used by alphas."
"For this, we are willing to fight without regret, even if you brand us traitors, even if countless people bleed and die."
"We will use the power you worship to pry open your deliberately closed ears. Then we will lay down our weapons and sit with you at the negotiating table, so you can listen to the voice of the future."
"Equality is the future."
"We are the future."
1. One-on-one pairing, happy ending. This isn't a groveling-after-the-breakup story, but the romance really doesn't go smoothly. They'll probably take a long time to get together.
2. They really are fighting for equality. If it goes well, credit the heroine; if it goes badly, blame the foolish author. The heroine officially joins the movement after losing her memory.
3. In case anyone wonders why they still need a revolution if they're already as strong as alphas, here's a brief explanation:
Armed force is a means, not an end. They don't want a world where they are respected only if they become stronger. They want to be able to freely choose whether to become stronger or pursue something else, with respect as their starting point.
Theme: Fang Yunping, all beings are equal.
