Qin Xiaoke is the most forgettable girl at school. With her heavy bangs, unchanging school uniform, and quiet nature, no one knows that she is a magical girl.
That's right. In this urban supernatural setting, she isn't a little Taoist priest. She's a magical girl.
Midnight falls. Atop an abandoned building on a construction site, a ghost with long, loose hair and white clothes appears. As everyone teeters on the brink of death, a cool girl with a sweet face descends from the sky, wand in hand. Her hair is tied in twin tails, and she wears a pink Lolita dress, yet she fights the ghost with swift, decisive movements.
Under the adoring gazes of the crowd, Qin Xiaoke finally starts to feel a little awkward. As she performs the final step to capture the ghost, she awkwardly forms a hand seal, her wand floating before her. She says, "Oh love hidden in this world! In my capacity as your master, I command you: in the name of purification, drive away the evil monster before me!"
Qin Xiaoke: Thanks for the awful experience. I want to die.

Someone discovers Qin Xiaoke's secret: she's a magical girl. It's her wealthy "bestie," Yousang, who's been with her since childhood.
The usually quiet and shy girl bites her lips until they're red. "She" hesitates before saying, "Qin Xiaoke, you wouldn't want other people to find out your secret, would you?"
She???

Yousang has a constitution that has attracted ghosts since childhood. Following a Taoist master's method for warding them off, he dresses as a girl.
Having been raised as a girl since he was little, he's also become sweet-tempered and delicate, gentle and caring. The one thing he least wants to lose is Qin Xiaoke, his only friend.
But lately, she seems to have other things to do. She looks sleepy every day, and doesn't even have time to go shopping with him. She doesn't even listen as attentively as she used to when he talks.

He tries hard to learn how to make soup and cook Xiaoke's favorite food. He tries hard to learn how to manage money, and gives Xiaoke everything he earns...
But none of it seems to win Xiaoke's heart back. Xiaoke still "never learns her lesson."
Until one day, he discovers Xiaoke's secret.
