My Ex Wants a Second Chance

Fang Ming and Cheng Yuan had three wonderful years together. While they were dating, Fang Ming loved Cheng Yuan so much he was practically beside himself. He fussed over him every day, asking if he was warm enough or had eaten. Fang Ming worked part-time each month and earned two thousand, giving Cheng Yuan sixteen hundred as spending money. Cheng Yuan was over the moon.

But as their third year of college began, Fang Ming vanished without a trace. He disappeared from Cheng Yuan's world without even saying they were breaking up, and Cheng Yuan held a grudge against him for it.

Four years later, Cheng Yuan started working at the family business. By a twist of fate, he ordered takeout, only to find that the delivery guy who showed up limping was the ex who had supposedly dumped him all those years ago. Perhaps this couple was unlike others: after breaking up, they couldn't be friends, but they couldn't be strangers either.

When Cheng Yuan saw his ex, he was grinding his teeth with rage.

He thought about how, for four years, he hadn't been able to forget Fang Ming. He thought of him every day, so much that he couldn't sleep at night, and his dark circles never went away. He'd nearly become a depressed young man. Cheng Yuan hated Fang Ming for it, and hated himself for being such a hopelessly devoted man.

If he had to suffer, then Fang Ming wasn't going to get off easy either. Cheng Yuan began plotting how to get revenge on his ex.

But hearts are made of flesh. When Cheng Yuan discovered that Fang Ming had a child and was living in abject poverty, he was furious, frustrated, and resentful, yet his heart ached for him terribly. Cheng Yuan had told his friends, "A good horse never turns back to eat old grass," but then he got his words thrown back in his face.

Cheng Yuan declared, "Isn't old grass delicious? Isn't a buy-one-get-one-free deal worth it? Me, Young Master Cheng, I love eating old grass."

Later, Cheng Yuan declared, "Old grass is damn delicious!" And just like that, he had his wife, his son, and a warm bed, reaching the pinnacle of life in an instant. Who could possibly be better than him?!
