Cosplaying as Junko Enoshima, she transmigrates into the world of Detective Conan. The System requires her to join the main storyline and become a wild card in this reboot of the Conan anime, setting off an IF route where the Red and Black sides clash. She must also gain popularity to save the world.
After transmigrating in cosplay, the cosplayer gains all of Junko Enoshima's abilities. She looks at the secret identity the System has given her, Nagito Komaeda, and falls silent.
Does the System expect her to gain popularity by preaching???
Cosplayer: Please stop acting like Zhang San! Cults are a big no-no!
System: Then debut as an idol!
Cosplayer: ...Wow.

A few years later, now a top-tier star, she slips into the anime's main storyline and follows the protagonist group around as a popular supporting character, getting a front-row seat to all the drama.
But as she keeps watching, why does it all start to feel so wrong...?
#Holy crap! The mastermind behind the despair Conan could never track down was Junko!#
#A victory for the Despair faction!#
The anime officially reveals the true identity of the mastermind behind all those despair-inducing incidents. The cosplayer watches herself on screen, complete with a villain filter, and slowly types a question mark...?
Crap! Don't blame an idol for what her fans do!
Cosplayer: How did I become the mastermind just because I have a few too many weird, rabid fans?
[Reading Guide]
1. The female lead is just a cosplayer. Her personality is different from Junko Enoshima's. Although she occasionally causes trouble, she doesn't pursue despair as an ideal. If that bothers you, read with caution.
When she uses the secret identity of Nagito Komaeda, she'll put on an act and imitate the original character's way of speaking.
2. This is writing practice as I get back into the swing of things. Updates will be irregular, and I may drop it at any time.
3. I'm writing exactly what I want to read, so please don't offer writing advice.
4. Everyone is out of character, the timeline is a mess, and there are countless personal changes to the canon.
◆Important Content Warnings◆
★ The author is a protagonist fan and an otome enthusiast. Since the story is built around the idea of a "mastermind," Red-side characters will most likely fall to the dark side. [When Red-side characters turn evil, I think "corruption" is more accurate than "going dark," though it does sound a little risqué.]
If you can't handle morally upright, model-student types, please don't come judge me, QAQ.
I've read enough stories with protagonists who are beacons of justice, so I want to try something new and write about a bad person for a change. I get to enjoy this niche little indulgence with my fellow weirdos. Surely I won't be branded a witch and burned at the stake for heresy, right? [whispers]
★ No rescue plot. The word "rescue" has become a little demonized for me. It brings to mind a lone hero enduring hardship and humiliation, sacrificing themselves to light the way for others, and rushing headlong toward their own destruction. It's enough to give me heartburn.
The protagonist has no such selfless, fearless spirit. She does whatever makes her happy and is a self-centered egoist.
As a writer of feel-good stories, I'll still bring back a few characters who die, just to avoid tragedy and angst. But don't expect the protagonist to be treated like a tool for saving others. [After all, I'm her real mom.]
★ If you come across a plot point you dislike, just use "X." Let's part on good terms and maybe meet again someday~
