Lin Xingchi has been the "other people's kid" since childhood: a top student, obedient and sensible, never rebellious.
Only Lin Xingchi knows he's not some meek, obedient little angel.
First, he likes men.
Second, he's Xiao Ye, a famous fan photographer in the fan community. He's only famous thanks to two viral, mood-setting behind-the-scenes videos pinned to his Xiaohongshu account, both featuring the top-tier star and movie emperor Qi Wu.
-
One day, his fan photography account receives a private message from someone claiming to be from "Qi Wu Studio."
[Hello, we have a magazine shoot coming up. Would you be available to come and take photos?]
He'd heard a little about this event.
The magazine shoot was taking place at a famous resort estate. They say it rarely opens to the public, and even rich people need connections to get in, so neither fan photographers nor Qi Wu's fans had planned to follow the event.
Lin Xingchi's eyes lit up as he listened. Exclusive first-hand photos and videos from a private event featuring a top-tier star and movie emperor would fetch a very high price.
He agreed without a second thought.
After that, Lin Xingchi received several more invitations to photograph Qi Wu's private appearances, and his fan account began churning out viral posts.
A lot of people started wondering who was behind the account.
Bystander A: "When I followed him, he photographed a bit of everyone. Now I open his page and Qi Wu makes up 90% of it!"
Bystander B: "I followed him because he took pictures of my favorite star. Who would've thought my fave and Qi Wu would end up on the same set, and he still wouldn't post any behind-the-scenes shots of my fave..."
Bystander C: "Has Qi Wu Studio hired him?"
Bystander D: "This fan photographer has made a fortune off Qi Wu. He even managed to get inside at Fashion Week overseas and take pictures [/laughing through tears]."

Lin Xingchi starts to feel that something is off.
He's just a lowly fan photographer who makes money from behind-the-scenes shots, so why is he standing inside top-tier star Qi Wu's supposedly very expensive mansion?
In the strikingly designed sofa before him, a man in a pure black bathrobe has the outline of his abs showing through. He says succinctly, "Take the picture."
Lin Xingchi raises his phone with trembling hands. Facing that incredibly seductive face on the screen, he steadies himself and tries to prove how professional he is at his job.
As it turns out, there is no such thing as professionalism in fan photography.
The phone slips into a gap in the sofa, and Lin Xingchi gets to experience just how soft the strikingly designed sofa is firsthand. Only then does he realize he's kissing the man.
Oh, God! How did he end up getting himself mixed up in this while working as a fan photographer?!
