[Pokemon] My Goal Is to Become a Pokémon Master

[Why I started writing: Even if the journey refuses to behave, I still want to write a celebratory story to commemorate the championship.]

[He's been on his journey for 25 years and finally won the championship. I should be happy for him, but the story's contrived pandering and lazy writing make it hard to feel happy.]

[Mostly based on the TV anime, with a few elements from the specials and games.]

[I won't follow some of the game's rules. For example, "Dodge it!" is something they can actually do.]

An informal blurb:

Ash is surrounded by a group of villains and forced to endure one fight after another. To protect Pikachu and the others, he stands in front of his exhausted Pokemon.

When he opens his eyes again, he finds himself back at the Lily of the Valley Conference from a few years ago...

Headcanon 1: Ash and the Pokemon who were there at the time will all be reborn. You can try to guess the specifics.

Headcanon 2: This isn't exactly a headcanon; it's a fairly popular idea, but it is indeed part of this story's premise: Aura Ash.

Headcanon 3: Unova + Kalos + Alola, followed by the Pokémon World Championships. The characters will grow older as time passes.

Headcanon 4: The pairing is Steven. I love the adult cast, but romance will be scarce. Steven even comes after Lance.

Headcanon 5: A big reason I'm writing about Unova is that DP made a huge impression on me. In 2010, I was so excited that I even used my own allowance to buy the game. Then the BW anime shattered my heart into pieces.

Headcanon 6: Ash will catch almost all the Pokemon from his original teams. Given his personality, he wouldn't abandon his original companions unless they chose to leave. However, he'll also gain Pokemon of types that are rare on his teams, such as Psychic and Ghost.

Headcanon 7: The outline isn't finished yet, so more details may be added.

Theme: Their journey will continue.
