Kudo Shinichi in the 19th Century

On the day he turned seventeen, Kudo Shinichi received a gift from his neighbor, Professor Agasa.

"A full-dive video game console? Imagine you witnessed an illegal deal involving men in black. Use your wits to uncover the conspiracy behind the case!"

"Wow, that sounds kind of interesting."

After playing through several sleepless nights, he finally beat the game!

Before he was taken away, the mastermind, Karasuma Renya, leaned close to Shinichi and said, "Kudo, your deduction just now was brilliant, but you overlooked one important point."

"What is it?"

"Actually, I'm a huge Conan Doyle fan too. I'm a bona fide Sherlock Holmes enthusiast!"

Shinichi: ...

Exhausted, Shinichi fell asleep on the game console. He woke up because he was freezing.

As he opened his eyes, a carriage sped by.

Shinichi: ?!!

A young man only a few years older than him approached. Shinichi asked, "Excuse me, what time is it?"

"It's Christmas Eve."

"No, I mean what year is it?"

The other man apparently mistook Shinichi for a foreigner with poor English. He spoke slowly and clearly: "It's December 24, 1879. You look awful. Are you lost? I can help you."

Shinichi fell into thought, wondering whether this was a dream or a game. Then he politely replied, "Thank you. I don't know your name yet."

"My name is Conan Doyle."

1. A story about young Shinichi and a young Doyle. Plot-focused, with no romance.

2. The synopsis describes the story's background. The main story has little to do with the old Holmes or the Black Organization.

3. Saving this idea for later. Maybe I'll fill in the story someday.

Theme: A friendship that crosses time
