Daily Life of Gathering Seafood in Ancient Times

Yan Sheng transmigrates into the body of Miss Yan, a young woman from the Yan family in an ancient fishing village by the sea.

In this world, the infamous disaster that caused global catastrophe never happened: the neighboring country never dumped nuclear wastewater into the ocean.

The sky is blue, the water is clear, and the seafood carried by the currents hasn't mutated. It's still sweet, delicious, and pollution-free.

Yan Sheng dives into the sea and spends every day cooking seafood feasts, enjoying herself so much she forgets the time:

Dried oysters, oyster omelets, and fried oyster pancakes; fish balls, fish soup, and rolled fish skin;

crab sticks, crab cakes, and crab roe buns; shrimp paste, shrimp dumplings, and shrimp roe noodles;

and mouthwatering razor clams, clams, sea mussels, fresh abalone, and spider conch, along with grouper, red snapper, Spanish mackerel, golden pomfret, and giant prawns!

After a meal, she still craves more, and she's absolutely delighted!

Once word spreads that Mrs. Yan is a gifted cook, matchmakers beat a path to her door, and plenty of food-loving men send her flirtatious looks!

Yan Sheng spends every day fending off suitors and matchmakers.

So harried by their attention, she grabs a madman named Zhu Sanlang, who's been exiled to Fujian, and uses him as a shield.

Who could have guessed that after tasting Yan Sheng's cooking, Zhu Sanlang would gradually regain his sanity and fall in love with her culinary skills?

One day, just as Yan Sheng sighs with relief that she can finally enjoy her seafood in peace,

Zhu Sanlang says, "Shengsheng, when are we going to pay our respects to Heaven and Earth and get married?" (blushing.jpg)

Yan Sheng: ... (shocked.jpg)

Good grief! When did the madman come to his senses?

Yan Sheng: "I'm sorry, Mr. Zhu. The one I love isn't you. You just happen to look like him." (clever.jpg)

And so Zhu Sanlang goes mad all over again!
