The Empire as Matchmaker

Having transmigrated into this world before birth, Nan Xiangyi thinks she's got the upgrade-to-a-powerful-heroine storyline, until the cavalry of the Ying Kingdom storms through the gates. Only then does she realize she has the storyline of a princess whose kingdom is doomed.

With the land in ruins and the people displaced, her father flees with a bevy of beauties. The only thing Nan Xiangyi can do is submit a letter of surrender and bear the scorn and curses of the people.

To protect the people of Nanchen from being abused and slaughtered at the hands of the Ying Kingdom, Nan Xiangyi decides to risk everything and seduce Mi Yichen, the deposed empress's daughter from the Ying Kingdom!

Mi Yichen was the empress's legitimate daughter, born to a noble and honored status. But when she was ten, her mother was deposed on trumped-up charges.

To protect her fallen mother and young brother, Mi Yichen had no choice but to trade her feminine robes for armor and plunge into bloody battles. But her true goal had always been the throne, coveted by everyone.

Nan Xiangyi sees through her ambitions. As part of their bargain, Nan Xiangyi helps her train a private army, amass wealth, and forge weapons, paving her path to power. In return, Mi Yichen will defend Nanchen's homeland, protect its people, and ensure Nan Xiangyi's dignity remains unharmed.

From wary cooperation to trusting one another as they face crises side by side, two hearts burdened by shackles gradually draw closer.

When peace finally comes to the land, Mi Yichen joins hands with Nan Xiangyi and walks with her toward the highest seat of power. This realm has always belonged to both of us!
