The Yokohama Mayor Is at Work

[Blurb written on 2022.11.2]

You are incredibly bored when you find an old game console in a corner.

When you turn it on, there's only one game on it, a city-building sim called The Mayor Is Me.

As a city-building enthusiast, you can't wait to log in.

After a few initial moves, you successfully become the mayor of Yokohama.

But...

What's with this beat-up city?!

Run-down streets, red-name enemies all over the map, and one enormous hole...

You thought you were starting from scratch, but it turns out you're rebuilding after a disaster!

The added difficulty only makes you more determined. You're full of confidence and ready to turn the city into a model metropolis.

The first step is to recruit some helpers!

After posting a job listing, you soon receive a pile of resumes:

[Still in school, already promised to the government, with modest salary expectations and no need for days off.]

You're stunned, then decisively recruit this helper.

[An underground doctor who doesn't need a salary, only an occasional little cake and a pretty dress for his daughter. Highly capable in every way, but currently in jail and needs you to bust him out.]

You think it over. No salary? Great!

[A famous detective who needs a steady supply of cheap snacks. Very clever, but needs a babysitter.]

Feeling like every recruit you roll is an SSR, you keep mashing the A button, planting one carrot after another in the hole.

[A bandage freak. Work efficiency -20%. Partner's mood and work efficiency also -20%.]

You: I want him!

Wait... can I return this one?!
