Synopsis
Jiang Ting, a female instructor from the apocalypse, transmigrated into a book and became a vicious supporting character who disguised herself as a man and joined the army in her brother's place.
As a foil to the heroine, the original character was useless at everything, constantly scolded and hungry, and eventually died on the battlefield after failing to frame the heroine.
After transmigrating into a book, the decision to take her brother's place in the army was already settled, but Jiang Ting chose to lie flat. Building a career, bringing honor to her family, earning a title, or making a name for herself in history held no interest for her.
Under her disguise, she couldn't lift a finger or carry a load. She shirked work, slacked off, and complained nonstop. In the end, she was kicked out of the regular ranks and made a cook, with no hope of ever advancing.
Jiang Ting: Being a cook is great!
She could stay alive, eat her fill, and make extra money by cooking on the side. A life of good food and drink was just around the corner.

The soldiers discovered that a cook with amazing culinary skills had joined the mess hall. The pots of food that had once been as bad as pig slop became heavenly delicacies.
Rice soup, fried rice, spicy hot pot, baked flatbread, grilled meat, pickled radishes. Every meal was different, and they felt restless if they went a day without it.
Jiang Ting smiled and asked, "Would you like hot pot, barbecue, Dongpo pork, fried chicken, roast chicken, or boneless spicy chicken? Would you like rice at every meal and white-flour noodles every day?"
Then come help us farm and grow vegetables, and raise chickens and pigs.

He Yunchen was born into an aristocratic family and had already risen to a high position at a young age. He led the He family army, stationed at the border. Known as the Jade-Faced Demon, he was cold-blooded and ruthless, with brutal methods that terrified his enemies.
At the same time, he treated the worthy with respect and cared for his subordinates. While recovering from an injury, he concealed his identity and went to the wounded soldiers' camp to eat and sleep alongside the soldiers.
One day, a handsome young man came up to him and pulled out a menu. "Hey, buddy, what would you like to eat?"
"Dongpo pork? No, only officers can have that."
"Sweet-and-sour ribs? No, officers only."
"Hey, you're quite the cheeky little soldier, glaring at me like that. Being handsome won't help you either. I have principles."
He Yunchen: "..."
Several months later, He Yunchen, whose identity as a commander had long since been exposed, imitated her tone and said, "No, you have to marry me before you can eat that."
Jiang Ting: "..."
[Reader's Guide]
The heroine is very capable in a fight, but she's lazy at first. Later, she'll go to the battlefield.
The military camp blends settings from various dynasties. Please don't compare it with real history. This is a fictional world, and all sorts of crops have already been introduced. Please don't nitpick the historical details.

Jiang Li transmigrated into a time of chaos. Her family had all died, and her wet nurse fled with her to a small mountain village, where she remarried a local widower.
Her stepfather had joined the army when he was young, earned military merit, and lost an arm. He could only return home and work as a peddler, selling goods from street to street. He had a pension and no children, so his younger brother coveted his money and insisted on having a son adopted into his family. But the stepfather turned around and married a widow, then accepted the widow's daughter as his own.
The younger brother's family, whose plans had fallen through, wailed and carried on, trying to drive Jiang Li and her mother out. But in this little family, the father was fiercely protective, the mother composed and levelheaded, and Jiang Li herself paid them no mind. Taking over her stepfather's peddling business, she began selling all kinds of novel goods.
Lollipops, nougat, Sachima, spicy strips, fairy grass jelly, five-spice dried tofu... sewing supplies, tooth powder, insect repellent pills, wind-relief oil, dishcloths... She was practically a mobile convenience store.
As the third branch of the Jiang family kept making a fuss, they discovered that Jiang Li's family had gone beyond peddling and even opened a shop. And as for them... how had they been thrown out of their own home?!
Jiang Youyu was the second child in the third branch of the Jiang family. He wasn't as smooth as his eldest brother or as good at studying as his younger brother. Quiet and withdrawn from childhood, he was disliked by his parents. They wanted to have him adopted by his second uncle, but the uncle refused.
His parents beat and scolded him, blaming him for not knowing how to ingratiate himself, and even refused to give him food. It was his second uncle's new wife and his cousin Jiang Li who cooked him a bowl of noodles and made him a new set of clothes.
From then on, he spent his whole life repaying them.
Theme: Meet your challenges head-on and stay true to what you love
Finished spreading flowers! It's really not easy. The extra story is just a short story, haha
How come these technologies are so similar to those used by the United States to persecute people in other countries?
Where can I find such an innocent brother?
The author's great extra chapter, it's so long and I love it
Of course it's everyone's blessing~(?▽?~)~
Although the extra episode is bloody, it is quite interesting. The male protagonist is bullied so miserably.
Great! I like female protagonists hehe
It's finished. I followed this book with true feelings. I was really touched.
Happy New Year's Day, finish with flowers
Finished with flowers happy new year
