Puppet Brother

[Abandoned story (just an idea)] [A plot bunny I might expand someday]

“Before my brother left, he gave me a wooden doll and said it would keep me company as I grew up.”

“I accidentally broke one of its legs.”

“When my brother came back, my doll was gone, and so was my husband.”

“Brother? Bro... Brother! Your leg? Your leg!!”

**

When Nora was little, her brother went to war for the honor of their family and died in battle.

Before he left, he gave Nora a wooden doll, kissed Nora on the forehead, and said, “Nora, someone who loves you will let you see me again.”

The first person to love Nora died, and her brother never came back.

The second person to love Nora went mad, and her brother... came back?!

But... something seemed wrong.
