Think carefully. Do I like you or not?

On a midsummer afternoon, a few friends gathered at Xie Linzhou's house to do their summer homework. The Kiss of Mischief was playing in the background.

Shen Cihua had eaten three chocolate ice cream bars. She stared at the TV without blinking, ready to unwrap a fourth, when she accidentally caught hold of Xie Linzhou's hand.

Her gaze shifted from Jiang Zhishu to Xie Linzhou's face, and she met his eyes.

Xie Linzhou unwrapped her fourth ice cream bar. Shen Cihua reached out. "Xie..."

Before she could finish, Xie Linzhou wrapped his hand around her icy fingertips and took a bite of the chocolate shell. "She doesn't seem to understand how much I love her."

I have to say, his feelings and his gaze were just like the actor's in the show.

Shen Cihua froze for a few seconds. "Not bad. You're pretty good at acting."

Then, the next moment, she burst out angrily: "There's only one left and you still stole it!"

Xie Linzhou: "..."

Think it over, would you? Do you think I'm acting?!

Back then, she didn't notice how warm his broad palm felt around her fingertips, or how intensely and brightly he gazed at her.

The secrets of a young man's heart were all hidden there.

Zhou-ge's private social media log:

"Shen Cihua doesn't seem to know how much I like her." - 2015.1.20

In the winter of 2020, Shen Cihua put away her phone and hugged the twenty-two-year-old him. "Give me a kiss. I get it now."

Cihua at first: My childhood friend has a crush on me? He clearly just wants my ten houses!

Cihua later: (spinning and leaping) (screaming) (laughing) Ahhh, I like him so much! (Ten thousand words omitted here.)
