He got lost on the way to potions class and ended up in the kitchen. When he accidentally dropped the class ingredients into a soup pot, he brewed a sweet soup that could make dreams come true.
During his alchemy exam, he accidentally threw his scrap paper into the cauldron along with the materials, and ended up creating a new kind of magical fireworks.
His lucky deeds were too numerous to count. Before long, he'd paid off his debts with various patent fees and even had a little money left over.
So at last, he could... get a cat!
