The System Forces Me to Be a Social Butterfly

[Next book: The Supporting Character's Self-Cultivation]

[This novel will enter VIP status on Friday]

Lin Jia was a level-ten social phobic.

Her fear of social interaction

caused serious problems in both her work and daily life.

Because she didn't dare haggle with her boss,

she would buy the same goods at prices far higher than those paid by other customers.

Because she was terrified of giving a career-promotion presentation in front of an audience,

she kept missing out on chances to advance.

Lin Jia knew she had a problem.

After every incident, she would regret it and swear to change,

only to do the same thing again the next time.

She thought her whole life would always be like this,

until one day a System threatened her life and forced her to complete tasks.

At a colleague's wedding,

everyone was stuck in a room with their boss, waiting for the banquet to begin.

The whole time, they all kept their heads down and pretended to admire the scenery, avoiding any conversation with the boss.

Mission One: Chat with the boss for five minutes and gain five days of life.

At the annual company party,

the chairman passionately performed "Drunken Butterfly."

Everyone applauded while cringing and avoiding eye contact.

Mission Two: Sing backup for one song and gain ten days of life.

And so, in order to gain more life, the socially anxious Lin Jia

was forced by the System to become a social butterfly.

She thought that would be the end of it, but completing her missions always brought unexpected bonuses.

While chatting with her boss,

she accidentally learned that a major personnel reshuffle was coming to the company.

Lin Jia avoided trouble and even got promoted.

As a capable backup singer,

she made the chairman so happy that he rigged the process to award her first prize.

She won a seven-day trip to the northwest.
