Rules of the Cultivation World's Strange Tales

Rules-based horror stories descended upon the cultivation world. At first, no one paid them any mind. Later, when everyone realized that every new rules-based horror story meant the deaths of countless talented disciples, they had no choice but to take them seriously.

A Guide to Rules-Based Horror: Enrollment Edition

1. Remember that you are a student. You must follow the rules and may not use any supernatural means to break them.

2. Students must be polite and treat one another with respect. Every student will have an attendant, whom you may treat however you like.

3. Eat in the dining hall at the Hour of the Dragon, the Hour of the Horse, and the Hour of the Rooster each day. No meals will be served after those times.

4. If you miss a meal, find a staff member in blue at the dining hall, explain what happened, and you will be given a meal.

5. You must go to sleep at ten every night.

6. After ten, no matter what sounds you hear, do not leave your bed, even if someone blows on your face.

7. Listen to your teachers.

8. Do not lose yourself. Keep your wits about you at all times.

9. Trust the people around you. You are a team. When necessary, giving up is also an option.

10. Always remember that you are a cultivator. When necessary, you can use your powerful spiritual energy to clear the challenge.

Tang Jiu had just started at Tianming Academy when she was pulled into a rules-based horror story. She discovered that, in her eyes, people caught up in these stories were divided into two colors.

Contaminated or uncontaminated.

On the morning of her first day, she spotted a man covered in shadows in the crowd. He was contaminated at the deepest level.

"...Let's just destroy everything."
