I Got Stronger by Eating Sunsettias After Arriving in Teyvat [Genshin Impact]

This novel is expected to go premium with Chapter 44 on February 8. I hope you'll support the official release. Thank you!

Who am I? -- I don't know.

Where did I come from? -- I don't know.

Why am I here? -- Still don't know.

All I know is that this place is called Teyvat, an alternate world ruled by the Seven Archons.

I also know that I'm an ordinary red-haired Hilichurl, as common as they come in Teyvat.

Every day, I follow the chief Hilichurl's orders to gather fruit and hunt. He tells me that if I eat lots of Sunsettias, I'll grow strong like him.

I obediently eat Sunsettias because I want to be able to run and charge around carrying a heavy wooden shield in one hand, just like him.

I also listen with the other-colored Hilichurls as Abyss Mages reminisce about a nation called Khaenri'ah.

I thought my life would go on like that, but then, while picking Sunsettias one day, I met a blond human boy.

His name was Aether, and a little floating white-haired person was with him.

I also noticed...

It seems like he has a lot of lovers. So many, so many, way too many!

Humans are scary. I'd better eat more Sunsettias and get strong like the chief Hilichurl as soon as I can!

Until one day, I met someone who made my heart flutter...

Reader's Guide

1. This is a self-indulgent story, mostly about a little Hilichurl growing up. It's expected to be 150,000 words, if my estimate is right.

2. There are original elements as well as references. Both detail-oriented readers and casual readers are welcome.

3. It's a fictional world, so having fun is what matters most. I hope you enjoy the story. Thank you!

4. The story focuses on the little Hilichurl's growth, so the romance is fairly light. But once he falls for someone later on, he falls hard.

Thank you, cuties, for loving this story, and please support my new work too! (It might be an absolutely ridiculous double-dog-blood drama.)

The Scumbag Becomes My Devoted Lapdog After I'm Reborn

-- Blurb --

Xiao Qingshu and Yuan Chenshu have been together for five years. He stayed by Yuan Chenshu's side from their green days on campus until he was dressed in a sharp suit. He always thought they loved each other,

until he learned from someone else that Yuan Chenshu had pursued him only because the Yuan family had consulted a fortune-teller, who said his birth chart would bring prosperity to the family.

Yuan Chenshu had never been interested in men in the first place.

The night before the accident, after learning the truth, he had a huge fight with Yuan Chenshu and stormed out.

He never came back.

Two years later, he was reborn in another body.

The body belonged to a rich young man who had died in a car accident. As it happened, their names differed by just one character: Xiao Qingge. They looked so alike, it was as if they had been carved from the same mold.

And, even more coincidentally, this rich young man also had someone he loved but couldn't have: Shi Zhiye.

The object of his unrequited love was also uninterested in men, yet kept stringing him along.

The rich young man had also stormed out after an argument with him, then got drunk and drove recklessly, ending up in the ICU.

Xiao Qingshu was almost laughing from sheer exasperation.

If he had parents of his own, while Xiao Qingge only had a sister, he might have suspected that he and Xiao Qingge were cursed twin brothers.

After all this, Xiao Qingshu finally understood.

Love is precious, but freedom is worth more. If your life is at stake, you can throw both away.

Who cares about love or not? Staying alive is what matters.

Any scumbag can go to whoever wants him.

But before long, he realized he had two devoted lapdogs by his side.

One was Yuan Chenshu.

The other was Shi Zhiye.
