The Loyal Dog

Gu Cheng met a dog. He gave it something to eat, and it followed him around eagerly. Whenever someone came too close, the dog would bite them.

Gu Cheng found it useful, so he took the dog home.

One day, the dog fell ill and lay in its den, barely alive. Gu Cheng considered whether he should abandon it.

The dog seemed to understand what he was thinking. It lowered its head and sniffed his hand as if to say goodbye, then obediently got up and tried to leave on its own.

But Gu Cheng changed his mind.

1. The protagonist is the pursuer, and the devoted dog-like character is the pursued. Gu Cheng is the pursuer, and the devoted one is the pursued.

2. The "dog" in the blurb is a metaphor. The pursued is devoted, physically very strong, and very obedient toward the pursuer. He's also a bit of a schemer and extremely insecure.

3. The pursuer is extremely awkward at first and doesn't realize he likes the pursued, but once he understands his feelings, he treats him very well!!!

4. Sweet romance.

---Next story: A Shadow Guard Gets Transported into a Silly Story---

Lin Zhi woke up to find his master missing and the prince's residence gone. He was terrified and at a loss.

A man suddenly sprang out from the corner, grabbed him, and started kissing him. He even demanded a kiss of love.

Lin Zhi's eyes turned cold. He wanted to kill this idiot.

His slender fingers closed around the man's fair neck. Lin Zhi heard the idiot struggle to speak, calling him Zhi Zhi.

Looking again, wasn't this his master?!

Lin Zhi was so frightened that he quickly let go, dropped to his knees, and begged for forgiveness.

The idiot coughed a few times and complained hoarsely:

"You deadbeat dad!"

That's right, he'd become his master's stepfather.

1. The pursued is a shadow guard, and the pursuer is a goofball. The pursuer and the pursued are not related by blood or by any ethical relationship.

2. An entirely fictional setting, entirely fictional, entirely fictional!!!

3. An illogical, fluffy little sweet story. When the shadow guard first arrives, he has split personalities: sometimes he thinks like a deadbeat dad, and sometimes like a shadow guard.

Theme: Only by being honest with each other can you win true affection.
