Nephew, You Can Be Emperor Instead

Yu Wenfeng is transported to another world overnight and becomes a farm boy, living in a few thatched huts with his widowed mother.

He thought the story he'd been handed was simple: make money, study, take the imperial exams, and enter government service.

Just as life finally starts to improve, an old emperor appears out of nowhere and cries, "My dear grandson, you've suffered so much among the common folk."

It turns out Yu Wenfeng is the eldest imperial grandson of Liang, long lost to the world.

While neighboring countries are tearing each other apart over the throne, the palace of Liang is remarkably "harmonious."

His second uncle practices Taoism. "I cast a divination myself, and it says I have the bearing of a ruler who will lose his kingdom. I can't take the throne."

His third uncle loves raising animals. "I can't even manage all the cats and dogs in the palace. What makes you think I can raise the people of Liang? No, no."

His fourth uncle loves poetry and song. "Fame and fortune are but clouds to me. The clouds will carry me to the skies."

His fifth uncle simply lies down and says lazily, "Second Brother cast a divination for me too..."

Yu Wenfeng is brought into the palace, and his four uncles sing and dance with delight. "At last, someone's sitting on this scorching dragon throne!"
