The Entire Court Is My Students [Imperial Exams]

Guoxue doctoral student Zhan Yibai accidentally transmigrates to another world.

In this world, scholars are highly revered. They can turn their literary energy into power. With a single recitation of poetry or prose, they can either face down a thousand enemy troops or protect the sparks of life in countless homes.

But the classics are incomplete and ancient texts are missing. Students have to build up their literary energy by studying and writing, all through the power of insight, making the imperial examinations and an official career exceptionally difficult.

Scholars are wary of one another, all afraid someone might steal the knowledge they have discovered.

Knowledge kept within you remains yours for as long as you do.

Zhan Yibai decides: I will start by teaching, imparting knowledge, and answering questions.

To teach others to study, he must first learn to study himself. Zhan Yibai sets out on the path of the imperial examinations. From the county, prefectural, and provincial exams to the metropolitan and palace exams, he earns top honors in all six stages and is appointed to the Hanlin Academy.

He assists the emperor, protects the people, and spreads the Way. Zhan Yibai becomes the first Confucian Sage in the history of the Great Hua Dynasty.

At the Imperial College.

Confucian Sage Zhan: My students, no arguing or quarreling. Let's ascend together.

Reader's Note:

1. This is most likely a plot-driven power fantasy.

2. The story focuses on his career, with romance as a secondary element. There are no Punishment Platforms, Valley of Heartlessness, or Forgetfulness Waters. Saving the world and falling in love are not mutually exclusive.

3. The imperial examination system is based on the Ming Dynasty, but since literary energy is involved, the exam questions may also draw on the Tang and Song dynasties.

Theme: Learning together and improving together
