Dad's a Male Supremacist, Mom's a Female Supremacist [The Sixties]

Ming Fei transmigrates into a novel as the ill-fated foil to the female lead, a supporting character whose parents are dead and whose ending is miserable. The reborn female lead is her cousin. The female lead has both parents, lives in an apartment block, gets into university, and marries a loving husband. Ming Fei, on the other hand, loses both her parents, drops out of school early, marries an old widower, and is beaten to death in the mountains. Luckily, on the very day Ming Fei transmigrates, the original body's parents, who were supposed to die, are transmigrated into by two hard-working overachievers. One is a general from a matriarchal world, the other a prince from a patriarchal world. As their daughter, Ming Fei's quality of life naturally skyrockets. Meat buns, egg cakes, malted milk, and chicken, duck, fish, and meat leave the neighbor's children drooling with envy. She wears new clothes and little leather shoes, and the female lead is so jealous her eyes turn red. Ming Fang is reborn as a child. She wants to meet the professor sent down to the countryside before her cousin does, get into university, marry the professor's grandson, and take her cousin's place as the apple of the professor's family's eye. But she can't understand why her cousin's parents didn't die, why her cousin's life is even better than it was in her previous life, and why her own family has shamefacedly returned from the city to their hometown, worse off than before. On my upcoming list: Dad from a Matriarchal World, Mom from a Patriarchal World [The 1990s] Blurb: Cen Lan's System ran away, but at least before it did, it found her a peaceful little world full of supplies where she could retire. But when Cen Lan opens her eyes, she finds herself facing a frail mother, a delicate father, three thatched huts, and an old yellow dog that can barely walk straight. There's also an uncle trying to get her dad to have a son so her parents can raise the child, and an uncle on her mother's side who owes money, wants her mother to pay it back, and has already brought the debt collectors to their door. Ten-year-old elementary schooler Cen Lan glances back at her panicked mother and sobbing father, walks into the kitchen, grabs a cleaver, and slams it onto the table. “From now on, I'm in charge of this family. Anyone have a problem with that?” Her father, from a feudal matriarchal world: “I'm a man. What do I know? Of course the woman of the house should be in charge.” Her mother, from a feudal patriarchal world: “I'm a woman. What do I know? I only know a little sewing and embroidery.” On my upcoming list: The Foil to Four Female Leads [The 1970s] Blurb: Only after her older cousin falls into the water and undergoes a dramatic personality change does Qu Siyue belatedly realize she's the foil character in a period novel. Qu Siyue: “Huh!” Fine, she can be the foil. She'll just live her own quiet little life. Then she discovers she's also the childhood friend who desperately pursues the male lead in a love-from-heaven novel, the love-from-heaven character who tries to come between the childhood sweethearts in another novel, and the biological mother who despises poverty and loves wealth in a stepmother novel. Qu Siyue: … “Is this ever going to end?” Reading guide: 1. An utterly ordinary family of three transmigrators: one from a patriarchal world, one from a matriarchal world, and one from a world of gender equality. Their interactions are bound to be fun. 2. I can't think of anything that needs a warning. In that case, here's a handstand while I write! 3. Let's all be nice while reading. If it's not to your taste, click the little X in the upper right. See you in another story, mwah! Theme: Gender equality and mutual respect
