Support, but Fluffy and Overpowered

[I wanted to write an ensemble cast, but my writing isn't up to it yet. I'll let the idea mature and rewrite it later.] [200,000 words drafted before release]

Passionate high school boy Li Yang transmigrates one day and becomes a good-for-nothing, a thousand years after the apocalypse.

Good news: He has a System and a golden finger.

Bad news: The golden finger is extremely underpowered.

A fluffy mouse smaller than his palm, a lion cub that burns its own whiskers, a baby dragon that can only spit sparks, a little snake that chokes itself with its own water spray...

The Ability Academy stamps his evaluation: assessment complete. He's an F-rank good-for-nothing, not even qualified for a support position.

Li Yang, who had planned to make a name for himself, is stunned. Is this really how it ends for him?

In the 1130th year of the Last Era, the 200th Ability Tournament begins.

When Li Yang's name appears on the preliminary-round roster, everyone scoffs.

-Him? A beast tamer who can only tame mutant beast cubs? He won't even make it past the preliminaries, right?

-Wait, his mutant beasts can eat pollutants!

-So what? He's only won one match. What is he showing off for?

Everyone waits for Li Yang to lose and get abandoned by his teammates. Instead, the mutant beast cubs everyone had looked down on defeat opponent after opponent and keep winning.

The audience gapes:

-Wait, that dragon's as powerful as a long-range fighter, isn't it?

-Forget the dragon. If I hadn't seen that white lion take out one pollutant with each swipe, I'd have thought it was just a kitten that knew how to beg for cuddles :)

-I'm done. That colorful beast over there can heal people...

Watching Li Yang, who is practically a whole team by himself, everyone is at a loss for words. You call that thing a support player???

"Support player" Li Yang adjusts his pose and gives the camera a cool salute. "Nothing special. Just the best in the world~"

His fans: Whatever. He's a bit of a show-off, but he's handsome, so I guess we can keep him.

As the crowd cheers below, Li Yang's tail practically shoots into the sky. He gives the person beside him a smug look. "Wasn't I amazing, bro?"

Mu Sheng stands beside Li Yang holding the championship trophy, a smile tugging at his lips. "You were amazing."

His sun is shining brighter and brighter.
