Midsummer in Qinhuai

[This book has been in the works since 2020. It's the first original novel I ever sat down to write, and the story I wanted to tell from the beginning. I'm putting it here for now. If you like school stories, feel free to add it to your collection. The blurb needs revising, but I'll definitely keep updating it someday!]

[Blurb]

Ye Huai is a hotheaded, rebellious teen who blows up at the slightest provocation.

Don't touch him, don't mess with him. He's not exactly the school bully; he just can't be bothered with bullying anyone. His terrible temper is famous.

Though he looks fierce, behind the scenes he's suffered years of torment at the hands of his older sister. Puffy skirts, rabbit ears, girl group dances... Those memories have been etched into his bones since childhood.

One day, while he was fighting someone on the basketball court, his older sister called and ordered him to the mall to try on women's clothes.

And so, the big shot's secret was exposed.

From the love interest's perspective:

The tough guy who was rolling up his sleeves to fight someone one second ago turns out to be an adorable little rabbit-eared cutie with a soft, lolling tongue. I'm in love, I'm in love.

From the protagonist's perspective:

He quietly opens his browser:

#Best places to hide a body in Subei#, #How many years in prison for killing a high school student?#, #Loopholes in the Juvenile Protection Law#...

Forget it. It would be better if we never met again.

Then, on the first day of school...

Xia Yi: Hey, new deskmate. Why didn't you bring your little bunny out today?

Ye Huai: ...?
