That day, Muran was kidnapped and rescued by a deity.
Gazing at the deity's incomparable beauty, Muran's heart pounded. In the end, she confessed her feelings.
The deity rejected her, saying they liked strong people, then sent her to Klein Academy, claiming she could think about dating Muran after she became strong.
Muran: So you want strong? Fine, I'll do it!
Klein Academy was known as a school that trained future deities.
As someone who had been recommended by a deity and dropped in from nowhere, Muran naturally ended up at the bottom of her class.
But for the sake of getting a date, Muran started working herself to the bone.
While others went on outings, she pored over The Basic Principles of Array Construction.
While others went out for meals, she frantically worked through A Thousand Types of Combinations of Environment and Arrays.
While others chatted, she studied day and night, memorizing Three Thousand Array Formation Techniques...
Then someone stole her crush right out from under her: the deity confessed to Muran's class monitor.
The class monitor was fair-skinned, beautiful, and long-legged. She outperformed Muran in every subject, came from a far wealthier family, and was even taller than her.
Muran was so furious her teeth hurt, and immediately began working herself even harder.
I can't choose my family background, and my looks are up to my parents. The only thing I can control is how hard I work.
She decided she would beat the class monitor in her studies.
To outdo the class monitor and show the deity the one good quality she had left, Muran worked herself to the bone even more fiercely.
One day, some cannon fodder approached Muran with an offer: "Want to get rid of the class monitor who's always one step ahead of you?"
Muran readily agreed, then turned around and reported the cannon fodder to the school.
The cannon fodder was so furious they ground their teeth. "Don't you want her dead?"
Muran gave the villain a puzzled look and said, "I just want to beat the class monitor at arrays."
Under the class monitor's grateful gaze, Muran waved and headed for the library. "Don't bother me when I'm studying arrays. I'm going to become a deity through arrays."
Muran: Since the class monitor isn't a deity, all I have to do is become one and I'll be stronger than her. The deity likes strong people, so they'll naturally like me too. In conclusion: plan accomplished.
