The Beautiful Maiden Deceives the Emperor

When Jiang Rongxue was thirteen, she met the person her twin sister had rescued. He was as lofty as a mountain, with snow falling from the clouds. She had never seen a boy so handsome.

Jiang Rongxue secretly protected him, brought him food, and pricked her hands sewing clothes for him. But whenever a smile touched his eyes, they reflected only her sister.

Later, he returned to the Eastern Palace, and she learned he was the Crown Prince.

Later still, the Jiang family was sentenced to exile, and her sister vanished. With nowhere else to turn, Jiang Rongxue took her sister's identity and knocked on the Eastern Palace's door.

She stole her sister's credit for saving the Crown Prince's life and lured him into falling for her. She offended ministers, defied the ruler, and suffered numerous injuries, all to overturn the verdict against her family.

At night, whenever he held her tightly by the waist, he would call her tenderly,

"Niannian."

But her childhood nickname was "Suisei."

That day, in the pouring rain, her sister sent word that the Jiang family would soon be cleared of its charges and return to the capital. She would be coming back, too.

Dressed in rumpled clothes and utterly wretched, Jiang Rongxue left the Eastern Palace that very night and fled Bianjing. She did not even dare send a letter or offer an explanation.

Less than a month after she left, the Crown Prince, now in control of the government, brought the Black Armored Guards and cornered her. He walked toward her one step at a time.

Jiang Rongxue was a complete mess. He gripped her cheeks and forced her face upward. In his eyes, she saw a cold, dark fury unlike anything she had ever seen before.

"Jiang Rongxue, aren't you good at lying?"

"Why don't you keep going?"

1. Both leads are sexually inexperienced; one-on-one romance, happy ending.

2. The story is set in a very fictional world. Very, very fictional.

3. The heroine starts out as a delicate, innocent flower, but later treats men like dogs. She uses them, manipulates their feelings, and doesn't stop at just one. She'll do anything to achieve her aims.

4. The hero accidentally traps himself while setting a trap for his wife. He's a hopeless romantic who'd die for her.
