The gong was a brand-new character introduced with great fanfare in an old game. Just a glimpse of him was enough to lure plenty of players back. The reason was simple: the new character was stunningly beautiful, with long silver-white hair and ruby-red eyes like gems. His looks were truly breathtaking...

Unfortunately... he was a madman who couldn't communicate.

The returning players tried every possible method, but none of them could win him over. To make matters worse, his combat stats were incredibly high... Plenty of players dreamed of clearing the game with him, but no one had ever survived an encounter with him.

Later... through a series of strange coincidences, the shou entered the game.

After dying in the gong's hands more than a dozen times in a daze, he finally figured out the gong's personality. He also became the first player in history to survive by the gong's side until the next day.

After clearing the first stage, the shou went around praising him to everyone he met:

"Oh, my wife is gorgeous! He's nothing like the scary person you all described. He's just a little crybaby, and he's so clingy. Anyway, I've got to go. I'm logging in to keep him company."

What the shou didn't know was that the gong he thought was a little crybaby had just snapped a player's neck with ease. Blood splattered across that impossibly beautiful face, but he simply wiped it off without a care. "Tsk, what a nuisance."

Much later, the game that had never had a single bug since launch finally glitched... And later still... the gong came to the real world for the first time.

The shou's career was flourishing. He clocked out on time every day and never worked late. Ask him why, and he'd say his wife kept him on a tight leash. Ask him again, and he'd say his wife was too frail to take care of himself...

He made it all sound so mysterious, but nobody had ever seen the wife he talked about.

Until one day, the shou was held up at work and got home late. When he hurried home, a beautiful young man, pale as a ghost, was curled up by the entrance waiting for him. There was no breath at his nose or mouth. He opened his arms to the shou. "You're finally home..."

The shou felt guilty. He gently comforted the gong, who had buried his face in the crook of his neck. "It's okay, it's okay. I'm back. How are you? You must be starving, right?"

Well, they're both hopeless romantics.

The gong's true identity will be revealed later. In short, he's not human and doesn't think like a normal person. He's cold and ruthless to everyone else, but with the person he has set his heart on (the shou), he's clingy, good at acting cute, a crybaby and a schemer. He's got it all. As for the shou, it was love at first sight for him. He's a loyal puppy through and through, all about being a brave dog who never backs down from a challenge!
