Isn't This a Raising Sim?

Monster Game is a simulation game with an extraordinary degree of freedom and a fully realized world. In its third year since launch, it became the game with the most players worldwide.

Xi Shangjin had held the top spot on the spending leaderboard for three years straight.

No one had ever surpassed him.

Exploration-focused players: "He must have seen all kinds of rare monsters and embarked on countless wonderful adventures."

Achievement-focused players: "Should we form a party and steal his monster encyclopedia?"

Combat-focused players: "Isn't he just some cheater? A glass cannon like that would be a piece of cake to crush."

Destruction-focused players: "A player built up with money must be easy to kill!"

Xi Shangjin himself: "I found a new little monster in the trash can today. I'm so happy!"

A tiny jellyfish, translucent pink and blue, with only three little feelers and a bouncy, gummy texture, gently brushed the back of his hand.

The day after Xi Shangjin found his new little one, the world collapsed and the apocalypse descended.

The monsters from the game became the rulers of the planet.

Humanity struggled to survive, but fortunately, players had kept everything they owned in the game, becoming humanity's last remaining force of resistance.

Players: "We have to find that big spender! He's our hope for victory!"

Xi Shangjin got the news too and eagerly opened his account.

Equipment: None. Combat skills: None. Weapons: None. Friends: None. Inventory: Empty. Money: 99999999999 (Unavailable)

Xi Shangjin: "..."

Might as well die.

He tried to remember what he had even done in the game over the past three years.

A few minutes later, his face turned somber.

The game's art really was beautiful, and the monster cubs really were adorable. What a pity that as they grew up, they all turned out wrong.

Later, as order continued to collapse, the name of Useless Jin spread across the globe, and the monsters set themselves up as kings.

Rumor had it that powerful, terrifying monsters were all searching for an Apostate.

Rumor had it that the Apostate was guilty of heinous crimes and surely wouldn't live to see the dawn after being found.

The Apostate, Xi Shangjin, was sweeping a monster out the door. "I raised you already. Why should I have to look after you now that you're all grown up? Shoo!"

The monster huddled miserably at the doorway, watching helplessly as the front door closed.

The next day, Xi Shangjin not only saw the dawn, but also saw every monster he had raised.
