Longing for the Sparrow

Wen Que, dressed in a white wedding gown, collapsed in a pool of blood. Before her consciousness faded, she saw Chu Huaisheng. His white groom's suit was spattered with bright red blood. His handsome face was utterly expressionless as he drove the knife deeper into the kidnapper. Then his gaze fell on her, like a pool of dead water. Wen Que was numb with pain, but his indifference hurt more than the blade. She remembered what the kidnapper had said: "He's a monster, born without emotions and unable to empathize. He also has high-functioning antisocial personality disorder! You think he married you for love?" "This wedding is a joke." Perhaps she was a joke, too. Wen Que lost consciousness before she could see Chu Huaisheng slowly approach and pick her up. The young man had an empty, expressionless face. Only his hands trembled slightly. "It's time. The ceremony must begin." He lowered his eyes and took the ring from his arms, sliding it onto her finger. Wen Que survived her grievous injuries. The first thing she did when she woke was throw the ring from her left ring finger. The next day, the ring was back on her bedside table. Wen Que threw it away again. On the third day, the ring came back by itself. No matter how many times she threw it away after that, it would always come running back, looking pitiful. Chu Huaisheng, who had convinced himself he was a ring, carefully held Wen Que's hand and pressed his cheek against her ring finger. "Please don't throw me away." A male lead who shows no emotion in public but is a giant-diamond, devoted-to-his-wife good ring at home, paired with a sunny female lead who throws her ring away only for her husband to automatically come back.
