Wuxia Crossover: Smite Evil on Sight

Blurb:

Ye Sheng is a deaf, blind, and mute swordsman.

When he first enters the martial world, he is ragged and looks like a beggar. No one knows where his home is, or why the face beneath his bamboo hat is a stiff mask.

His sword never kills people. The only things he will fight are terrifying, demon-like beings: evil spirits that devour human hearts and livers.

May all evil spirits flee. May all evil be slain.

Lu Xiaofeng comes across a wandering swordsman.

He is very young. Soaked by the rain, he looks pitiful, like a stray dog stumbling across a wasteland.

Lu Xiaofeng recognizes him and considers him a friend. He is also fortunate enough to see the swordsman's face.

It is a face without skin, raw flesh exposed, and a soul from which a demon god has taken twelve organs. He struggles to survive, and will never learn to give up.

Content warning:

The protagonist has no romantic pairing. The whole cast shares Gu Long-style friendship. Many details are the author's own inventions.

The protagonist's character is inspired by Hyakkimaru: a naturally naive, pitiful young man who doesn't think he has it bad, even when everyone else does.

Theme: Do not go gentle into that good night.
