Cats Really Do Bring Good Fortune!

Wen Heli was once a dazzling corporate heir, elegant and refined, with power in the palm of his hand. Then the people closest to him joined forces to betray him, sending him crashing down from the clouds.

At his lowest point, Wen Heli had only a stray kitten by his side. The man and the cat spent the night on a park bench, watching the darkness give way to dawn.

Wen Heli used the little money he had left to buy food for the kitten. After watching someone from an animal rescue organization take it away, he went to the rooftop alone.

The wind and rain howled that day. Somehow, the kitten found its way back, its fur soaked as it circled his feet.

The man and the cat gazed at each other for a long time. In the end, Wen Heli picked it up, and the two of them made a home together.

The kitten was difficult to care for: a picky eater, always hungry, mischievous, and clingy. It ate premium kibble and canned food, drank additive-free yogurt, and needed to be held to sleep. It would only behave after kisses and cuddles.

But the kitten was also incredibly thoughtful. When Wen Heli was feeling down, it would curl up in his arms and show him its soft, fluffy belly to pet. It would even lick his chin again and again to comfort him.

For the sake of raising the kitten well, Wen Heli did many things for the first time: he took his resume to a downtown office tower, went into a lottery shop to gamble on luck he didn't even have, and tried to embrace the world again.

Later, Wen Heli's rented apartment became a spacious flat, and the kitten's cardboard-box bed was replaced by a cat mansion.

The plump cat and the smiling Wen Heli lived together.

But one day, Wen Heli woke from a dream to find the cat gone and a handsome young man curled in his arms, with pale golden hair and emerald-green eyes. His fluffy tail was wrapped around Wen Heli's waist as he expertly kissed the corner of his mouth. "Master, you're mine."
