Chasing-her-to-the-crematorium / taking her by force / both reborn
[Blurb 1]
As Shen Luan leapt from the towering building, she thought, If there's another life, I never want to love Pei Yan again.
Two major events have recently shaken the capital.
First, Shen Luan, the beloved Princess Chang'an who was adored by the late emperor, leapt from a high building.
Second, the newly enthroned emperor, who had only recently ascended the throne, went mad.
Everyone in the capital knew that Shen Luan, the legitimate daughter of the Shen family, had been spoiled since childhood and cherished by all.
Yet she fell in love with the Fifth Prince, Pei Yan, at first sight, and even turned down the position of Crown Princess.
She cooked for him and helped him seize the throne.
The young girl's love was ardent and unrestrained. She thought that with enough persistence, Pei Yan would eventually look her way.
But there are no second chances.
After the new emperor ascended the throne, the news Shen Luan received was that the entire Shen family had been sentenced to death, their whole clan to be executed.
Her father, once a celebrated general, was beheaded in the bustling streets. Her mother, born into a distinguished family, hanged herself at home.
Overnight, the Shen family's blood stained the capital red. Corpses littered the ground, and countless souls cried out for justice.
Shen Luan knelt outside the palace gates for three days and nights, yet she couldn't even get a glimpse of Pei Yan.
[Blurb 2]
Ever since he was old enough to understand, Pei Yan had known that his birth mother was merely a maidservant, disliked by the emperor. Though he was a prince like the others, he could only live in the Cold Palace and endure the contempt of those around him.
Pei Yan plotted at every turn, all for the day he could rise above everyone else.
Everyone thought Shen Luan was nothing but a pawn on Pei Yan's chessboard.
But no one knew that when Pei Yan received news of Shen Luan's death, he vomited blood on the spot.
-
Reborn, Pei Yan returns to the day he first met Shen Luan.
But this time, he doesn't wait for Shen Luan. Instead, he hears that she is betrothed to the Crown Prince.
He sees Shen Luan chatting and laughing with the Crown Prince, affectionately calling him "A-Heng."
A-Heng, A-Heng.
Shen Luan used to call him by his childhood name, A-Heng.
-
Shen Luan keeps having the same dream. In it, she falls in love at first sight with someone. She can't make out his face, but she remembers his name.
She has always thought that person was the Crown Prince, Pei Heng.
1. This is a fictional setting, so please don't nitpick historical details. All classical poetry quoted is cited from existing works.
Please add my new novel, The Beaded Curtain, to your reading list!
Halfway through a palace banquet, the Crown Prince steps out under the pretext of changing clothes, hoping to get some air.
In the misty rain, someone stands in the waterside pavilion, drenched and miserable.
The palace attendants say she is Wen Sui, wife of the newly appointed top scholar. She should have been living in splendor, but the scholar loves another woman and abandoned his newlywed wife for her, leaving Wen Sui alone in the pavilion, weeping behind her hands.
How pitiful.
The Crown Prince sneers.
He has someone bring her an oil-paper umbrella.
-
Wen Sui is the daughter of the Crown Prince's tutor. Gentle and meek since childhood, she diligently served her parents-in-law for six months after marriage, only to receive her husband's verdict: "Pedantic and dull."
She knows her personality isn't likable, and she knows her husband loves someone else.
But Wen Sui has no other choice.
She was taught the virtues and precepts for women from childhood, and learned the Three Obediences and Four Virtues: obey your father before marriage, your husband after marriage, and your son if widowed.
At the palace banquet that day, her husband suspected her of hurting the woman he loved. In a rage, he shoved her out into the rain and walked away.
At her most desperate moment, someone sent her an oil-paper umbrella.
Wen Sui thought she had met a good person.
Only later did she learn that this person wore a Buddha's face but hid a beast's heart.
Another palace banquet.
The rain pours down as the newly appointed top scholar kneels outside the Eastern Palace gates, shivering in the cold.
Inside, the hibiscus curtains are warm, and the passion has subsided.
The Crown Prince's expression is gentle as he asks, though he already knows the answer, "...Sui Sui, shall I let him in to shelter from the rain?"
Holding her slightly rounded belly, Wen Sui can only sob, unable to speak.
Theme: Keep striving to live
Don't tell me this is a crematorium??? Is there abuse of men there? Until now, this male protagonist has no shining point, he is disgusting and wretched. She is also crazy and sickly. . . Just a guy with a low head
. . . There are very few male protagonists who still make me sick after watching more than half of the movie. To this day, I still feel that the male protagonist is purely self-motivated and a self-centered paranoid.
When I came back and watched it again, I still felt that a lot of things had not been explained. Who were those eyes outside the door when Pei Yi was crying in the arms of the heroine when she was pregnant? What is the attitude of the white consort towards the princess (it feels quite scumbag, I really want to torture him) ), Pei Yi and Xiaoliu felt they matched well. There was no ending after Pei Yi's mother committed suicide. As a result, only the male and female protagonists had extra chapters and endings, but Pei Yi's ending was rarely mentioned. Doesn't Pei Yi, who is so cute, deserve a better ending?!!
Can you write a side story about Bai Shian and Pei Yi's reunion? I really want to see it.
I am still abusing female goose, so I call it a crematorium.
Oh, this male protagonist is a bit wretched. .
Uh... It actually looks good, but the name of a crematorium is inappropriate. For example, if you can be a beloved wife, then don't make any claims about women. Author, you understand
Damn it, the crematorium I thought was different from the crematorium I saw.
I wish I could see Pei Yi's extra story, I really like this female supporting role
So, how many times did the male protagonist kneel down in his previous life? I watched it without skipping a beat, and I just wanted to ask, have you ever experienced any emotional drama in your past life?
