First Love Is Forever Wonderful

Mutual pining, a reunion after years apart, and rekindled love

Short story, happy ending

*

When they were young, Fu Zhouye fell in love with Wu Xianhao at first sight. He deliberately engineered all kinds of chance meetings, and eventually they got together, becoming each other's first love.

But while they were passionately in love, Wu Xianhao cruelly broke up with him.

When Fu Zhouye saw her grit her teeth and pretend to say she was only after his family's money, he knew there had been a misunderstanding.

But he couldn't understand why she had to break up with him instead of explaining the misunderstanding in person. His youthful pride got the better of him. She offered no explanation, so he really did agree to end things.

Later, Wu Xianhao seemed to vanish into thin air, disappearing from Fu Zhouye's life. No matter how hard he searched, he couldn't find her.

When they met again, ten years had passed. She was the company's newest intern, while he was its haughty, high-status CEO.

When Wu Xianhao came to the company for an interview, she accidentally walked into the wrong conference room and interrupted Fu Zhouye's important meeting. He held her responsible and made her stay.

During her internship, she accidentally mishandled an important document and was held responsible again, becoming his personal assistant.

…

Wu Xianhao figured she and Fu Zhouye must be incompatible by fate. She kept making mistakes and getting blamed for them, and it was giving her a headache.

What she didn't know was that Fu Zhouye had carefully arranged for her to become an intern at the company. He was waiting for her to change her mind.

Later, Wu Xianhao asked Fu Zhouye, “After we met again, you never asked me why I broke up with you back then, or what the misunderstanding was. Did you not want to know, or did you not care?”

Fu Zhouye pulled her into his arms and said gently, “I just think a misunderstanding shouldn't keep us from loving each other. You're free not to explain, and I'm free to set the misunderstanding aside and keep loving you.”

“Besides, first love is the best.”

Wu Xianhao, my life is only wonderful because of you.

Stubborn, straightforward intern x smooth-talking, pure-hearted CEO
