We're the Only Two Ordinary People in the World

After years of studying hard, my childhood friend and I got into W University in X City. It didn't take long for me to realize something was off. The neighbor on my left howled at the moon every new moon. The neighbor on my right often made chopping sounds late at night. My classmates walked through walls to get into class. The teacher hiccupped a little flame. Flowers bloomed beneath the flower shop owner's thick hair. A full mechanical arm was hidden under the school doctor's buttoned-up shirt... Oh no. It seemed like my childhood friend and I were the only two frail, helpless humans in this world. My childhood friend and I got together. Only later did I realize he wasn't human. Neither was I. The main story is written in third person. A big mishmash. The occupations include, but aren't limited to, those mentioned in the blurb. There may be others too. I'm terrible at writing blurbs, so I'll revise it again before starting the story. 2022.12.11 Theme: Embrace differences while seeking common ground
