From Captive of a Fallen Kingdom to Ruler of the Zerg

Lancis, a walking pest exterminator. Every bug who crossed him ended up dead.

---Just kidding. That's only what he did back when he was roaming a trash planet.

Now, he's a prisoner of war in an enemy country. He's sensible enough to accept his position and has decided to turn over a new leaf: find a powerful military female to marry, build a family, and live in a gilded cage, content to be a pretty ornament in their luxurious estate.

---That's a joke too. The moment this cold-blooded executioner pressed a gun to his temple, he swore he'd make every insect who looked down on him or offended him pay.

He has no distinguished background, no illustrious family name, and no extraordinary talent. So what?

He'll climb, one step at a time, to the very top of the power structure, and claim the greatest wealth, the most elite fleet, the highest status, and, most importantly, control over his own fate.

For the sake of these despicable ambitions and desires, he'll stop at nothing.

Even if it means using marriage as a bargaining chip. Even if it means sharing a bed with his mortal enemy.

During a war against an enemy country, Caius Percival seized vast amounts of wealth and resources, along with many prisoners, including one very unusual male.

His captive was greedy, cunning, and a compulsive liar, but undeniably beautiful and charming.

Though wary, he eventually married the man. No matter how much males wanted, it was only ever those little luxuries. Supporting a male was hardly a challenge.

As for whether the other man might be a surviving spy, or had approached him to avenge his motherland? Don't be ridiculous. He was just a pampered male insect.

Until the day Caius finally paid the price for underestimating his spouse.

The other man had only been using him as a stepping stone... or, to be precise, he only wanted Caius's power, wealth, reputation, and warships.

Caius was dejected for an entire day.

Then he realized that this sort of male seemed to be even more irresistible to him.

Once, he was the enemy Lancis found most useful.

Later, he became the sharpest blade in Lancis's hand.
