At Gongyi High School's fall sports meet, girls gather on the field, sneaking glances at a tall, handsome boy in a black T-shirt in the distance.
The boy is strikingly good-looking, with a scar cutting through his thick eyebrow and narrow eyes. But he's temperamental and aloof, skips class, gets into fights, and hands in blank exams. At the time, he is undoubtedly both the school's heartthrob and its terror.
"I heard he's gone straight lately."
"Bullshit. Who could ever tame Mu Jiayi?"
"I saw him wearing his uniform a few days ago, just because that girl once told him he looked good. He finally wrote on this month's exam too. His homeroom teacher must be over the moon."
"Damn..."
At the center of all the gossip, the boy focuses intently, controlling a remote in one hand while holding the drone's base in the other and taking off by hand.
His homeroom teacher chatters beside him. "Remember to record a few aerial shots. Our class is counting on this to earn some extra points... Don't space out during the opening ceremony, or I'll confiscate your drone again. Hey, you. Are you listening?!"
Mu Jiayi raises the thick eyebrow split by a scar and starts operating the controls with unruffled composure. His voice is cool. "What's the rush?"
The music for the marching formations begins, and the sports meet officially kicks off.
On the screen the homeroom teacher isn't watching, the boy zooms in on what is supposed to be footage of the opening ceremony, focusing entirely on a girl with a high ponytail, wearing a shirt and a short skirt.
In the sunlight, one dimple is deeper than the other. Her golden hair streams in the breeze, and her long, straight legs are dazzlingly white.
The homeroom teacher asks anxiously, "Did you get it?"
"No." Mu Jiayi furrows his brow, pretending to be impatient. "There's a minor glitch."
Two seconds later, he captures her smile on screen and readjusts the shot without changing his expression. "It's working now."
[Mini-scene]:
Just as Mu Jiayi thinks it will take a century before anyone notices, the girl lifts her face as if sensing him and smiles at the camera, her eyes curving. Her gaze meets his through the screen.
One second before the intro music begins, Shi You shapes the words with her lips, silently.
"Mu Jiayi, "
"Make sure you get my good side!"
She wonders with a bright smile: Wasn't he the one who refused to take pictures for her yesterday?
What a tsundere who says one thing and means another.
"I'm Definitely Not a Social Menace"
"You Don't Understand. When Mu Jiayi Says No, He Means Yes"

[After a long drought, I wait for a spring rain.]

In their second year of high school, the Cheng family brings a girl in from the countryside. Her name is Jing Hechun. Raised at a tea estate, she wears tattered floral-print clothes and a pair of braids sticking straight up, and she's country and clueless from head to toe.
The Cheng family's young master wants nothing to do with this girl who appeared out of nowhere and became his little sister. Little does he know, this girl seems harmless in public but is a schemer in private, and she has his parents wrapped around her little finger. No wonder she's been known since childhood for being "good at brewing up trouble."
After being ordered to look after his little sister, Young Master Cheng rolls his eyes and comes up with a foolproof plan. He goes to his best buddy. "We're friends, right?"

Zhai Yilin of Huaicheng Private High School is student council president, head of the city student union, and the top student in the international program. With excellent grades and elegant manners, he's an untouchable flower on a high peak, and no one has ever plucked him.
Only his friends know that beneath his innocent exterior, he's cold, ruthless, extreme, and twisted.
He's also famous for keeping flirty types in line, a master at spotting fake innocence, and so sharp-tongued he doesn't spare even his own family. The exotic pets he keeps at home are enough to scare off several of his delicate admirers.
When his friends learn that the Cheng family's young master has dumped his sudden, scheming little sister on Zhai Yilin, they all wait for the show.
Until, somehow, a male flirt appears in their midst
Zhai Yilin: Yaya's so wonderful. Your brother doesn't know how to appreciate you.
Zhai Yilin: I'm so jealous of him. I wish I could have grown up with Yaya as her childhood friend too.
Zhai Yilin: Is your childhood friend misunderstanding something? He seems to dislike me.
Jing Hechun: ...
Everyone: ...? Is something wrong with you?

The day Jing Hechun saw through every disguise of his, she realized she'd trusted the wrong person.
She avoided him, but she had a reason she couldn't leave, so she pretended to forgive him. When she was in a good mood, she'd say a couple of words to him. When she got busy, she wouldn't even remember he existed.
Zhai Yilin took her acceptance as the key to becoming lovers.
On the day he planned to confess after the college entrance exams, the boy stayed up all night and arrived at her door early, his palms sweating as he held a bouquet. But all he got was her leaving without a word.
As his boiling blood cooled, he typed with a dark expression: "Are you playing me?"
The only reply was a glaring red exclamation mark.

When they meet again at university, Zhai Yilin is still as radiant and composed as ever, surrounded by admirers and envy.
Jing Hechun is the only one who thinks he's just a clingy dog who likes to bite.
This time, she can neither shake him off nor bring herself to let him go, so she patiently teaches him how to behave.
On a stormy night, wind and rain rage outside, and damp air fills the room. The moment their eyes happen to meet, it's as if they become stuck together, unable to look away.
She deliberately moves closer, teasing him with practiced ease, until their lips are only inches apart.
The hand he reaches for her waist always comes up empty. Every time, she abruptly cuts him off. "Did I say you could touch me?"
He freezes, letting her do as she pleases, but his gaze wanders over her without restraint. He laughs hoarsely. "You're treating me like a dog."
She looks away with a faint, teasing smile. "Aren't you enjoying it?"
She scratches under his chin and pats his head, giving him a little reward.
He doesn't resist at all. He even leans closer on his own. "I really am willing."
His gaze settles on her lips. His voice turns tender, though he keeps it restrained. "Then can the dog have one bite?"

Quirky tea-estate girl x scheming, reserved young master from a wealthy family
Black on the outside, white on the inside x black on the outside, yellow on the inside
1. From high school to university, they never lose touch. Z10 keeps shamelessly pestering her.
2. Yaya is neither country nor clueless!!
3. A light, sweet romance, with a tiny bit of groveling and dog training later on (just for fun).
Theme: May the good times last, and may tomorrow be better than today.
I still can't help but come back and want to say that the heroine's feelings towards her brother after eight years should not be so strange and awkward. She has taken care of her brother since she was a child. My childhood sweetheart and I have only been together since kindergarten, primary school, middle school and junior high school. Even though we haven't seen each other for many years, he feels as close to me as one of our own. Besides, the heroine and her brother have gone through hardships together. The heroine has taken great care of him since he was a child. I feel that it should not be written in such a strange and embarrassing way. It makes me feel uncomfortable.
Damn, I really like Yu Fenglin. His speech is so annoying to me.
I want to see Xixi and Xiaobei publish a separate book 😭 😭 It's so good 😭 😭
