I haven't decided on a title yet. I might change it~
A goofy, laid-back, sharp-tongued senior disciple & a tsundere heroine who says one thing and means another
#TheMaleLeadWinsHimselfOver
Ye Luo lost her parents when she was young. Thanks to a marriage agreement with the young lord of Taihua Sect, she received the protection of Taihua's immortal elders.
To repay Taihua for taking her in, she followed Xie Mingwei around from childhood, treating her fiancé as her whole world. Xie Mingwei, however, was always cold toward her. He tore up the sachets she made and threw away the pastries she gave him.
She'd thought Xie Mingwei was simply born cold and aloof, focused only on cultivation and uninterested in romance.
But when he returned from an expedition with a woman and asked the sect leader to accept her as his disciple, Ye Luo realized that Xie Mingwei could be gentle after all.
He taught that junior sister swordsmanship and laughed and chatted with her, treating her with such intimacy that Ye Luo, who had been by his side for three hundred years, became a complete joke.
Unwilling to accept this, Ye Luo trained desperately, hoping to surpass the junior sister.
In cultivation, and in winning Xie Mingwei's heart.
But during a trial, the junior sister outdid her by far. After defeating a monster, Ye Luo crawled out of the secret realm covered in wounds, only to find Xie Mingwei celebrating with the junior sister.
She'd lost spectacularly, and happened to run into the senior brother sent by their master to bring her back.
He lifted her, filthy and battered, and sighed thoughtfully. "As expected, no matter what a villain does, they can't beat the heroine's halo."
The first disciple of Taihua's Grand Elder was named Shen Qiu. In his flowing white robes, he looked every bit an immortal, and his beauty and talent rivaled those of the young lord.
But after a monster injured his head, he became a little strange. He often spouted nonsense, saying that Xie Mingwei was the male lead, the junior sister was the heroine, and Ye Luo was the wicked female supporting character, the greatest villain in the world.
As everyone knows, villains never get a happy ending.
He often mocked Ye Luo, telling her to stop fussing because no matter how hard she tried, she'd never be able to beat the heroine's halo.
He also stopped her several times when she went after the junior sister, nagging her to turn back before it was too late. Ye Luo thought he was unbearably annoying. Whenever they met, she'd draw her sword, and the two of them would fight to a draw.
Ye Luo had never believed in fate, until
Xie Mingwei tore up their marriage contract for the junior sister.
Her inner demon was born, and she plunged her sword into Xie Mingwei's chest.
From that moment on, she fell into darkness and became a demon, hunted by her sect.
When she barely managed to escape the sect, grievously wounded, her longtime nemesis followed a trace of her aura and searched for three days and nights without sleep until he found her hiding place.
It was the lowest point of her life.
On a snowy night, in a ruined temple.
She waited for him to kick her while she was down, or perhaps, to kill her.
Instead, Shen Qiu tossed aside his sword and pulled her into his arms, tenderly wiping the streaks of blood from her face. "Don't cry. Xie Mingwei doesn't want you, but you still have me."
As soon as Shen Qiu arrived in this world, the System told him, "The person standing before you is the greatest female villain in this book. She's spoiled, jealous, cruel, and ruthless. One day she'll fall into darkness, become a demon, and destroy the world..."
"You're the second male lead in this story. Your duty is to protect the heroine and help the main cast fight the villain."
Shen Qiu (resting his chin on his hand, deep in thought): "But I think she's pretty cute."
A goofy, laid-back, sharp-tongued senior brother & a tsundere junior sister who says one thing and means another
The male lead is the senior brother. The heroine is half-demon by birth, loses control when provoked, and has maxed-out combat strength.
A feel-good power fantasy with no frustrating angst. The heroine is 100% the type to vent outward, never bottle things up, and is in a pretty wild state of mind. She has no love for her fiancé.
The male lead is laid-back. He worked himself to death in his previous life, and in this one just wants to lie flat. He does the bare minimum to complete his mission, is a nagging, kindhearted pushover, and spends his whole life trying to persuade the heroine to be a model citizen.
Sweet with a touch of angst, happy ending.
Thesis: Everyone is born with a purpose.
