[Qing Dynasty] Noble Consort Wenxi Is Reborn

Noble Consort Wenxi died, but not entirely.

Her spirit wandered the imperial palace for a hundred years, watching Kangxi’s sons slaughter one another, watching her own Yinsi lose his title and be confined, watching the Qing imperial family decline day by day, and watching the Eight-Nation Alliance invade the capital...

At first, her heart was torn to pieces. Eventually, she learned to take it all in stride. After seeing so much, her heart grew numb and still, no longer stirred by anything.

Only occasionally, when she awoke from a hazy stupor and looked out at the bustling Forbidden City, could she not help sighing at how unpredictable life was.

She thought she would go on muddling through like this forever, but then she awoke from her long dream. When she opened her eyes, she was back on the day she received the imperial decree summoning her to the palace as a consort.

Given another chance, Noble Consort Wenxi felt both joy and sorrow. Only one thought kept circling in her mind:

Protect her children, and bring down this man-eating Forbidden City!
