I Heard the Shadow Guard Likes Me

[Still not starting, so here's a preview]

Word is that the master of Fengqing Pavilion has found a lover.

Word is that this lover is a frail beauty who coughs every few steps.

Word is that Fengqing Pavilion's people have been spotted all over the martial world, searching for rare medicinal treasures to cure this sickly beauty.

Word is that anyone who can provide the herbs, or even just tell them where to find them, will receive a thousand taels of gold.

One day, my bodyguard suddenly told me my lover was a bad person.

Although I love my partner, I trust my bodyguard just as much.

Good and evil cannot coexist, so I killed my lover with my own hands.

Just as I was thinking I'd have to spend the rest of my life alone, my bodyguard suddenly confessed that he had feelings for me.

Having learned from my previous mistake, I didn't accept him right away.

But then I realized that everyone around us seemed to know my bodyguard liked me. I was the only one who didn't.

They even often encouraged my bodyguard.

My bodyguard and I got together. Only after being with the person I truly loved did I realize that love isn't always peaceful.
