Consort Shuhui Only Wants to Gossip

Ming Ke, an overworked corporate drone, died from working overtime and was reborn in the Qing Dynasty as the youngest daughter of Chuo Erji, a Khorchin beile. From the start, she was being sent to the capital as a pawn in a Manchu-Mongol marriage alliance.

Ming Ke immediately chose to lie flat. No more working 996, and an early retirement of leisure and comfort. It was every corporate drone's dream.

She took out the precious mirror she carried with her and settled in for her daily dose of gossip and drama.

[So this is the first meeting between Shunzhi, the lovesick emperor, and Dong E Fei, beginning their legendary romance.]

[Prince An Yue Le's secondary consort was actually a substitute.]

With the precious mirror in her left hand and a handful of sunflower seeds in her right, Ming Ke watched with relish, adding her own commentary as she went.

What she didn't know was that while she watched the drama, someone was watching her too.

Emperor Shunzhi happened to acquire a glass mirror and placed it in the Hall of Mental Cultivation to check his appearance.

One day, he happened to catch sight of Consort Shuhui in the mirror. When he saw what she was doing, Emperor Shunzhi's face darkened.

"The Secret Entanglements Between Emperor Shunzhi, Dong E Fei, and Yue Le," "The Mystery of Boguo'er Fuzin's Background"... What kind of nonsense was this? Fulin was so angry he nearly smashed the mirror.

Later came "The Prospects for Promoting Sweet Potatoes in the Qing Dynasty" and "Growing the New Crop, Corn, Is Surprisingly Easy."

Shunzhi, who had been worrying about the future of the Qing Dynasty: ...

Quickly, send all the fresh fruits and vegetables brought as tribute to Consort Shuhui. Let her eat as much as she likes.

Ming Ke, who had suddenly become the emperor's favorite: ???
