Empress Dowager Yuan of Huang Taiji: After Being Reborn, I Won by Doing Nothing

This was Song Ge'li's fourth time being reborn. The first time, she couldn't accept becoming the transparent, short-lived Yuan Consort and letting a woman from the Khorchin clan take the empress's throne. So she did everything she could to win favor, only to be framed and die when Huang Taiji shoved her. She was eighteen. The second time, she avoided being framed and exposed that woman's true nature. She thought Huang Taiji's guilt would help her rise to success, but she died again. Someone who had plotted against Huang Taiji ran her through the chest with a sword. She was eighteen. The third time, she took lessons from her first two lives and decided that escaping Huang Taiji was the only way to survive. So she gave her chance at an arranged marriage to her jealous older sister and married someone else instead. But she died yet again. This time, she didn't even make it to eighteen. They say bad things never happen more than three times, and now she was reborn for the fourth time. Song Ge'li lost heart. Since she was going to die either way, she might as well do whatever she wanted. This time, she did nothing and simply gave up trying. But to her surprise... Not only did she live past eighteen, she also became the first empress of the Great Qing to be formally invested. Theme: If life isn't going your way, try living differently.
