[Highlight: The heroine disguises herself as a man, and a female supporting character will fall for her while she's in male disguise!]
[Later, the story follows the court and political intrigue. The author loves affectionate friendships between women, and none of the beautiful older women are villains.]
Chen Rongyi, a student of geotechnical engineering, transmigrates while studying for finals. Her original is a debt-ridden woman who disguises herself as a man to make money, only to be tricked into signing a contract of indenture at an illegal coal mine.
A brutal mine boss is breaking down the door. The rice jar is nearly empty. And a shocking case involving her original family's execution awaits its turn to explode.
What can she do?
Chen Rongyi hugs her little sister tight. “It's just coal mining, right? I'll do it!”
With her knowledge of geotechnical engineering, she mines and drills wells. After awakening a prospecting System, she discovers mineral deposits.
She improves drainage, ventilation, and lighting. She refines tar and develops petroleum.
Even with a face covered in dust and living deep in the mines, she can still rise to the top in court!
As for the man behind this strong woman
At first, the aloof crown prince says, “You are my subject. We will speak only of state affairs.”
Later, the newly enthroned emperor clings to her. “My empress, look at me again! Am I not more appealing than a grimy coal mine?”
Chen Rongyi, dressed in the empress's phoenix robes, waves her pickaxe. “Move aside. Don't get in the way of my mining!”
Premise: Working people are the makers of history.
