Dagger

In the summer of 2012, I was seventeen. Xiang gave me a beautiful dagger, and I loved it.

In the spring of 2022, I was twenty-seven. I used the dagger Xiang had given me to end everything. Selfishly, I wanted summer to belong to only Xiang and me forever.

A short story with dual perspectives and a bad ending. Read with caution if that bothers you. This installment is from the bottom's perspective.

Lin Xiang's (the top's) perspective, "The Sheath," is complete.

Be sure to read both stories together. Reading either one alone is as good as not reading it at all.

The author recommends reading "The Dagger" first.
