Did the Demon Lord Lose His Disguise Today?

Blurb:

Jiang Yingli was exceptionally gifted and peerlessly beautiful, yet he chose to take an unconventional path, joining the demonic sect and proclaiming himself the greatest under heaven.

In search of defeat, he wreaked havoc across the Nine Provinces for a thousand years, soon becoming the cultivation world's number one public enemy. His reputation was in tatters, and everyone wanted him dead.

But Jiang Yingli didn't care. Faced with a continent where no one could put up a fight, he was utterly bored.

To escape his weariness sooner, on a whim he took on a secret identity and decided to try living a life opposite to the one he'd known. He became a wandering cultivator and followed the example of his mortal enemies, making friends wherever he went and spreading goodwill.

Unexpectedly, before long his secret identity was famous throughout the land. Ordinary people adored him, cultivators revered him, and even the Immortal Venerables treated him with great respect, each scrambling to recruit him into their sect.

Jiang Yingli wasn't picky. He settled into the sect of the mortal enemy he'd fought most fiercely, and even gained a position equal to that enemy's.

On his very first day, however, a crowd blocked his way. Everyone talked over one another:

"Immortal Venerable Lilu is the greatest cultivator of this age. The Demon Venerable Yingli must be afraid of him, which is why he hasn't made a move in so long."

"Immortal Venerable Lilu is the beacon of the righteous path. How could a brat like Yingli compare?"

"Immortal Venerable Lilu, you are nothing less than the savior of our cultivation world."

Just as everyone was enthusiastically heaping on the praise, a cool voice rang out from afar: "They say Immortal Venerable Lilu is as pure as a gentle breeze beneath a bright moon, with unfathomable cultivation, and the only one who might defeat Jiang Yingli. But if you ask me, Lilu, you're not even one ten-thousandth as good as Jiang Yingli."

Jiang Yingli looked at his former mortal enemy and curled his thin lips into a smile. "Immortal Venerable Xuechen speaks the truth."
