Legend says that death is not truly the end. The souls of the dead enter the Kingdom of Eternal Night, a realm between the living and the dead.
The Kingdom of Eternal Night has seven cities, named after the Big Dipper: Tianshu, Tianxuan, Tianji, Tianquan, Yuheng, Kaiyang, and Yaoguang. Seven rulers govern the kingdom together, with Tianshu at their head.
Everyone who arrives in the Kingdom of Eternal Night must take part in an infinite game once a month. Those who clear it earn the right to live in the kingdom. Those who fail face true death.
Yu Zi always thought it was just a fairly widespread legend, until she actually died and discovered it was all true.
Every resident of the Kingdom of Eternal Night has a unique skill, and Yu Zi’s is “Wardrobe of a Thousand Faces.”
A pretty sailor uniform lets her shoot water balls.
An ornate mermaid-tail gown grants her the power of enchantment.
A glittering, diamond-studded dress gives her a body as hard as diamond.

With her Wardrobe of a Thousand Faces, Yu Zi makes the terrifying infinite games her playground.
Before long, she catches the attention of a certain big shot.
The big shot watches Yu Zi in the mirror, blood smeared across her face but her eyes still bright and defiant. Twirling the staff in her hand, she cries out with dashing confidence, “Today, I’ll show you what this magical girl can do!”
Big shot: Woman, you’ve successfully caught my attention!
PS: The first instance is a transitional arc; the second is where the main story begins. The male lead appears late and is split into multiple fragments.

An insect tide sweeps across the world, giving rise to insect-mutants and insect monsters.
Insect-mutants develop a different insect sequence inside their bodies, granting them insect abilities.
Butterfly-sequence insect-mutants grow wings and can release dangerous scales.
Mantis-sequence insect-mutants can grow a pair of sharp blades that can slice through metal, giving them tremendous offensive power.
Stick-insect-sequence insect-mutants can change their coloring, appearing and disappearing without a sound.

Insect monsters, by contrast, are creatures with human faces and insect bodies. Their purpose is to prey on ordinary people and insect-mutants.
Yu Li does not evolve into an insect-mutant or turn into an insect monster, but she awakens a unique ability: Copy.
There is a crystal inside every insect monster. After she swallows one, she can temporarily gain the ability of an insect-mutant with that insect sequence.
Yu Li throws her head back and laughs: The heavens have given me such an enormous cheat ability, so I guess I’m supposed to save the world.
