Liang Qian is elegant and talented, comes from a prestigious family, and has made countless brilliant friends across the land. He is a celebrated figure in Luoyang.

But rumors around town say that the Liang Qian of old was nothing but a worthless good-for-nothing, skilled in drinking, womanizing, gambling, and every other vice. He had even nearly been cast out by the Liang family.

Later, people said he was cheated and left utterly humiliated, and only then did he turn over a new leaf and work hard, transforming himself into the widely revered Master Shenghui.

In the front hall, Liang Qian looked coldly at Sima Sheng. "The heir apparent actually has the nerve to interfere with my marriage? What, was ruining my life back then not enough for you?"

Sima Sheng spoke with furrowed brows. "It was all my fault." He stepped forward and pressed his forehead against Liang Qian's in a domineering gesture. "You are not to marry anyone else. Do you hear me?"

Liang Qian shoved him away, his eyes flashing with anger. "Isn't the heir apparent asking the impossible?"

This time, Sima Sheng grabbed Liang Qian by the small of the back and pulled him close, his gaze sharp as an eagle's. "What if... I insist on asking the impossible?"

Liang Qian: Mm... He's taken the bait...
