What should I do if my fans uncover my dark past under a secret identity?
Help! It's urgent.
A great author on the Green River novel site, Yi Ye Chun, received a private message on Weibo.
The account that messaged her seemed like an alt, with a string of random numbers after its username.
The message said that a certain Green River novel was somewhat similar to one of her stories.
The tone was very formal, making it stand out among all the other messages saying "Wifey" and "cuddle me."
This sort of thing happened all the time on Green River, so Ye Chuyan was used to it. She was about to close the message when her hand slipped and she opened the link to the story attached to it.
Ye Chuyan took a closer look.
Wait, that title, that pen name...
...Wasn't this the story she'd posted under a secret identity, letting herself go completely?
Well, would you look at that. I plagiarized myself.
Ye Chuyan stared at the string of numbers on her phone that looked like gibberish and thought: Reader, I'll remember you.

Yu Xun happened to spot a story on a piracy site.
The site was unreliable, the book details were incomplete, and the recommendation blurb even had typos.
She skimmed it, then searched for the title on Green River. Sure enough, it was there.
And the blurb, writing style, word choice, and plot points were all remarkably like those of her top author. Then she checked the publication date: two months ago.
After hesitating for a long time, she switched to her alt and sent the author a private message.
The instant she sent it, a new message popped up at the top of her screen.

Yu Xun tapped her screen, and the new message went through.

A few little tips:
1. A great author who seems aloof but is actually super clingy x a fan artist who seems approachable but is actually super cold.
2. Secret identities: "Yi Ye Chun" and "Mi Yu."
3. One-on-one and happy ending, with same-sex marriage. They start with an online relationship, then meet in person.
4. All characters are fictional. The inspiration came on September 3, 2022, and the story was started on November 27, 2022.
5. The blurb is written from the characters' perspective. Please don't attribute it to the author. Don't make plagiarism accusations without evidence. Let's all do our part!
6. The blurb is tentative and may be revised often before the story begins, but the central premise won't change.
