This is an unpredictable century and an exciting era. Science and technology are developing rapidly, and knowledge is changing at a rapid pace. Hopes, confusions, opportunities, and challenges may appear in the life of every member of society anytime and anywhere. The key to seizing opportunities, seeking development, meeting challenges, and adapting to changes is learning - learning on your own and lifelong learning.
As an integral part of my country's higher education, the self-study examination's responsibility is to advocate self-study, encourage self-study, help self-study, promote self-study at the level of higher education, and pave the way for every self-study to become a talent. Organizing and writing teaching materials for readers to learn is an important part of fulfilling this responsibility. There is no doubt that this kind of teaching materials should be suitable for self-study. It should be conducive to learners' mastering and understanding of new knowledge and new information. It should be conducive to learners' ability to enhance innovation, cultivate practical ability and form self-study ability. It should also be conducive to learners' application of what they have learned and solving problems encountered in practical work. Although we continue to use the concept of "teaching material" for a book with such characteristics, it is quite different in terms of content arrangement, format, and writing style compared with the kind of textbook that is only for teachers to teach and students to listen, but teachers do not teach and students do not understand, and are centered on "teaching."
